District Librarian
Purpose
Our purpose is to ensure that students and staff can effectively find, evaluate, and use ideas and information to become productive lifelong and self-directed learners, readers, and library users. We will reach this goal by collaborating with teachers to integrate information literacy skills with academic learning and promoting reading for informational needs and literature appreciation. Our sole objectives include:

To offer opportunities that expand students’ intellectual world through technology, books, stories, book talks, discussion, and author visits. Students will develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to become effective life-long and independent learners.

To improve student achievement by collaborating with teachers to develop an integrated learning environment.

To improve student success by collaborating with the Public Library and offering joint programs.
