Since 1933, the Rotary Club has made this award to the area’s outstanding students. Faculty of each junior high, middle and elementary school in the Greater Williamsport area are asked to select the outstanding boy and girl from the highest grade of their school to represent their school as Junior Rotarians. Selection is based upon the following criteria: outstanding character, scholastic ability and effort, leadership, and service to their school and community.

The Rotary Club of Williamsport has established Monday, May 7, 2018, as Junior Rotarian Day for the 2017-2018 School Year and the students who have been chosen for this award will be honored at a luncheon at the Genetti Hotel.
