Concepts and applications of chemistry are presented to students planning to attend college after graduation. Qualitative and quantitative aspects of chemistry are illustrated through class discussions, readings, online activities and hands-on lab work. Topics that are covered during the course of the year include:

Laboratory activities and special projects enhance the information presented in class discussions. Algebra and basic math skills are used almost daily in this course. TI-30XS scientific calculators will be provided for in-class use only. Click here to download the class syllabus.

AP Chemistry Summer Assignment Contract

This is the student & parent form that is to be signed, acknowledging the importance of completing the summer assignment requirements prior to the beginning of the school year and the AP Chemistry course.  This form must be signed and returned by the assigned due date in order to receive the textbook and avoid being dropped from the course.
